Marla Felton

Marla Felton is the Founder and Executive Director of Common Circles and co-creator of the Common Circles Experience, an immersive, research-based educational initiative focused on bridging, belonging, Holocaust education, and combating anti-Semitism through storytelling, art, and interactive engagement. Inspired in part by her uncle, Holocaust survivor Martin Greenfield, Marla founded Common Circles to explore creative new approaches to Holocaust education and bridge-building. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Tufts University with a B.A. in International Relations and a J.D. from George Mason University Antonin Scalia Law School, she began her career as a federal law clerk and litigator before redirecting her work toward creating experiences that help people connect across differences with curiosity, empathy, and respect. Under her leadership, Common Circles has developed customizable two-part exhibitions that combine psychology, storytelling, the arts, and interactive technology to foster dialogue, reduce bias and anti-Semitism, and build communities of belonging in schools and communities across the country.
