Tabby Refael
Tabby Refael is a Los Angeles-based writer and civic action activist whose work focuses primarily on Iran, Israel, women, and Mizrahi Jewish identity. A weekly columnist for The Jewish Journal of Greater Los Angeles, she has also served as a contributing writer for Newsweek, Los Angeles Magazine, and Moment Magazine. Tabby was born in Tehran after the Iranian Revolution and is a child survivor of the Iran-Iraq War. With her family, she arrived in the United States as a refugee in 1989.
