What is happening? Israel is under attack from the Gaza Strip by a terrorist group called Hamas, funded by Iran and Qatar. Both Iran and Qatar have publicly made clear that they wish to destroy Israel. Hamas has killed hundreds of Jewish civilians. They have fired thousands of rockets at Israeli cities, and their terrorists have gone door-to-door shooting people in the streets. They have also kidnapped dozens of Israelis, including women and children, and taken them back to Gaza as hostages.
What is Hamas? Hamas is an Islamic terrorist organization founded in 1987. Its roots are in the Muslim Brotherhood movement, which wants Islam to dominate the world. Hamas has its own charter in which they call for the destruction of Israel and the deaths of all Jews worldwide.
What should Israel do? Israel must protect its civilians from being murdered by terrorists. To do that, it has to destroy all the places in Gaza from which Hamas fires rockets and launches attacks into Israeli cities.
What would you do if you were Israel? If your house was attacked and your family members were taken hostage, would you not fight back? Would any other country allow its own citizens to die? Israel must do whatever it has to do to keep its people safe. If Hamas and Arabs really wanted peace, then none of this would be happening.
What should you do? Tell people the truth about Israel. That it is under attack from people who hurt and kill innocent people. Ask them, “What would you do if you were Israel?”
