“Holy was my pursuit,”
The client responded to the attorney.
The judge nodded and added,
“It’s all part of a lifetime’s journey.”
“No judgment will be rendered,”
“No crime was committed.”
Strict Justice remained silent,
As the client was acquitted.
“You never called me to testify,”
From the gallery Truth spoke out.
“Your pursuit was not intended for me,
Nor for Justice was this about.”
“We hold you in contempt,”
Said the Judge while slamming down the gavel.
“That’s the first truthful thing to be stated,”
Truth retorted, as the decision began to unravel.
Truth continued, “If you don’t ask the correct questions,”
“And the court has been corrupted,”
“Your statements and testimony are stricken,”
The dishonorable Judge interrupted.
Truth replied, “Strike, twist, and distort.”
“Ignorance will not suffice.”
Truth will always overcome,
“So ‘think’, is my advice.”
“I’ve seen the repercussions,”
“As I’ve been here long before.”
“Your guilt will ultimately be on display,”
“And this can’t be ignored.”
